What are scrims?

What makes BAFA^®-scrims something special?
Unlike wovens and rectangular fabric constructions, BAFA^®-laid scrims consist of diagonally crossed threads that are neither woven nor knitted at the crossing points, but are laid and fixed with binders. BAFA^®-laid scrims have a characteristic of a 6- to 10-directional yarn arrangement. This provides a higher tensile strength for load bearing.
